High pulse rate is the consequence of abnormal rapid heartbeats. Normally after doing exercise you may find increase in the pulse rate and after a period of rest the pulse rate comes to its normal range. This is normal physiological process. However, if the pulse rate remains continuously high without doing any exercise or strenuous physical work it is the time to seek medical advice.

- Drink orange or lemon juice regularly. See that the juice is freshly prepared and does not contain added salt.
- Cut back cigarettes, alcohol, too much of caffeinated drinks etc.
